Chalet cuckoo clock with winter scene has ice hanging from the hunters chalet. Carved hunter and dog. 8 Day German Regula movement with gong and cuckoo on the hour and half-hour. Moving water-wheel and dancers. After the call of cuckoo at the top of the hour the dancers will dance to 1 of 2 melodies as the water-wheel turns. Antique stain, night shut-off and 2 year warranty. Made by Rombach & Haas of the Black Forest.

This charming eight-day musical cuckoo clock has a night shut-off lever so you can turn off the music and cuckoo and leave the time-keeping function running. The beautiful chalet is covered in sparkling snow and icicles and depicts a traditional Black Forest hunter waiting impatiently under the eves for perfect hunting weather. The figures are hand carved with exquisite detail. The waterwheel turns and the dancers dance as the mechanical music box plays two German melodies.

The clock comes packaged in genuine recylced or renewable materials, each clock made and packaged BY HAND by Black Forest craftsmen the same way they have been for hundreds of years. The cuckoo bird, hands, numbers, and dancers are all made of solid wood. The bird and dancers move along with the mechanically produced music and cuckoo call.

The sound of the bird is produced by real wooden whistles and the music box movement is made in Switzerland.

    Whimsical and sometimes realistic animations such as this one were commonly reproduced mechanically in the Black Forest since the early Nineteenth Century. Here, a man in traditional Black Forest garb chops his firewood for the long winter. Meanwhile the townspeople are above, on the balcony, dancing to the music.

    This eight-day, musical cuckoo clock features a large 36-note music box with an excellent sound. This eight-day musical cuckoo clock has a nighttime shut-off lever so you can turn off the music and cuckoo and leave the time-keeping function running.

    This is a beautiful and lovingly crafted piece, with great carvings of trees, leaves, as well as a Clock-Peddler figurine and his dog. The color is applied by hand by the award-winning Conny Haas.

    Clock Peddlers in the Black Forest used to carry their wares on a large backpack. As this figure goes around with the music, one might imagine a Clock Peddler wandering over the hills and through storybook forests hundreds of years ago.

    The hands, numbers and calling bird are all of solid wood, and this musical cuckoo includes a shut-off switch.
